EMMA BURCHELL
Emma is passionate about sound design, however is an aspiring all rounder technician. She is constantly pushing herself to learn and grow in all areas of theatre. Currently based in Brisbane working in various venues in the sound and lighting departments. She takes particular interest in unusual and dimensional sound designs. She also works heavily in the live music industry, mixing live bands and busking lighting rigs, regularly is something she finds very enjoyable.

RILEY CAMEJO
Riley is a Brisbane based, all-round, theatre creative and technician. His career of theatre making began in high school, after which he then pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama, graduating in 2018. Having now honed his craft in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Production, his work focuses on creating immersive and tactile experiences for a variety of audiences with a major focus on audio design. Riley tries to push the envelope of what is considered “immersive” in theatre with the hope to inspire audiences to lose themselves in the worlds he creates.
Riley has fulfilled many roles, both during his time in the technical production course and professionally, including roles such as technical coordinator, stage manager, sound designer, sound systems designer, QLab programmer, and computers/networking coordinator for Standing By 2023.

RAINE CARTER
Raine Carter is an emerging lighting technician, passionate in all thing's theatre. with an interest in continuing to build upon their skills in not only the lighting department but throughout the vision and management aspects of theatre, Raine aims to become an all-round theatre technician to help bring new worlds to life

BRIANA CLARK
Briana Clark is an emerging queer Asian Australian technical production artist based in Meanjin. While completing her degree she has found a fascination with lighting design and its multi-dimensional power to transform space, time, and atmosphere. Over the course of her professional career, she has found pure enjoyment for story making in contemporary dance and circus, with the magic of lighting design. Alongside this she is a skilled technician and is exploring stage managerial roles. Her ultimate passion is uplifting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ stories in and behind the scenes of live performance. For future practice, she hopes to create and uplift art that is fulfilling and ignites politically important conversations in Meanjin.

LIALIZE DU PLESSIS
Lialize du Plessis is vision designer, all round technician and live event coordinator with a passion for all things music. From orchestra at QPAC to music festivals in The Valley, she’s spent the last few years honing her skills in event orchestration and venue management and is a fierce face to watch.

LANI DWYER
Lani Dwyer is an emerging video designer with a strong interest in creating holistic and eye-opening experiences that transport audiences to other worlds. Lani’s passion comes to life in her work as a result of her well-rounded technical knowledge and creative ability with hopes to use her skills to spark excitement for video in live performances. Throughout her studies at QUT, Lani has completed a minor in film, worked within a student design team representing Australia at the 2023 Prague Quadrennial and most recently has completed an internship with optikal bloc working in collaboration with Shake & Stir for their production of Frankenstein (2023).

As part of the graduating cohort of QUT Technical Production 2023 she is excited to continue learning as much as possible in the future years. Marshall Gray is an emerging Production designer with a passion for storytelling, world building and nature-based design. DANIEL HALLEN
Dan Hallen is an emerging stage manager and technician with a strong interest in sustainable work practices within the arts. Throughout his time at QUT, he has enjoyed engaging with productions through a variety of roles, as stage manager, assistant stage manager, sound designer, vision operator and sound crew.
As a person of Torres Strait Islander descent, he has a strong interest in engaging with First Nations storytelling, and working with community members to tell their stories.

Tommi is a multifaceted Theatre/ Venue Technician and Operator, with a key focus and passion for Audio and Audio/ Visual Systems. Tommi has a range of experience working across several venues and companies in Brisbane mixing and working on performance works spanning Cultural Music acts and Creative Works presented at BEMAC (Brisbane Entertainment and Multicultural Arts Centre), to recent works at the Brisbane Powerhouse as part of the Brisbane Festival. JOSIENE JAMES
Josiene James is an emerging production designer and technical all-rounder who aims to re-imagine classic stories and make theatre accessible to new audiences. Her time at QUT has been spent cultivating a passion for the theatre industry aided by working across multiple technical departments at QPAC, including lighting, staging and stage management. She took full advantage of internship opportunities, completing a secondment with the Hamilton props team and becoming a part of a student design team to represent Australia at the Prague Quadrennial Festival in June 2023. Josiene is extremely interested in touring and hopes to create a career across many theatre design disciplines as a technical swing, become an expert props fabricator, and create new and immersive worlds for theatre as a production designer. Most recently, Josiene has taken the plunge into the world of opera, acting as the Props/Assistant Stage Manager for Opera Queensland’s Cosi Fan Tutte (2023) and joining the props team for the upcoming season of Opera Australia’s The Ring Cycle (2023).

LEILA MARSDEN
Throughout the Technical Production degree Leila Marsden has been drawn to management and technical roles. HAYLEE MILLET
Haylee Millett is an emerging creative who is passionate about prop creation, ASM work, lighting operation, and lighting technician roles. During their studies in Technical Production at QUT, they have acquired a well-rounded understanding of the various departments that comprise theatrical production. With experience in a wide variety of materials and techniques, they are dedicated to further honing these skills throughout their career. ERIN MILNE
Erin Milne is an emerging lighting designer. They are particularly interested in exploring how light can become its own character in performances. They are inspired by the works of Stephen Knapp, the pioneer of light paintings, which transform buildings and spaces into living, breathing environments. Through experimenting with light painting techniques and light physics, they seek to create vibrant, living designs.

MELISSA PETHERICK
Melissa is an emerging practitioner who enjoys all aspects of theatre but has a passion for costume design. She strives to create and work in positive, inclusive environments that provide safety and respect for all working relationships. She had designed and made various personal pieces throughout her adolescent and had continued working on this throughout this course on several projects. Her latest work was on Big Hair in America by QUT and she thrived on enhancing the storytelling through costume choices.

Emma Richards is an emerging stage manager, with a strong love of problem solving, people management and teamwork. Throughout her time at university, Emma has strived to experience all aspects of theatre – from vision design, to lighting operation, to wardrobe, among others – as she believes a successful stage manager understands the entire theatrical process. Emma’s work as an assistant stage manager, orchestra manager and dresser has fostered her passion for cast management, which is something she finds immensely rewarding. ABIGAIL TAYLOR
Abigail is an aspiring Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, and technician. She fell in love with theatre at a young age and is drawn back to it over and over again. Musical Theatre is what inspires her and her practice. Building large scale worlds of colour that entrances audiences is what draws her to theatre- making the most.
Along with studying Abigail has had the privilege to work with the Education, Youth, and Regional Engagement Team at Queensland Theatre. Through this work, she has developed a passion for regional and youth arts. Being able to connect with Young Artists across Queensland has allowed her to see the importance and the impact of arts in regional Australia. Through these connections she hopes to continue to bring theatre to regional Queensland.

BELLA WILKINSON
Through her studies in Technical Production with a minor in Indigenous Knowledge Bella Wilkinson has honed a range of skills leading her to discover her passion for stage management specifically for dance performances. As a driven, enthusiastic, and passionate worker with a diverse range of skills, Bella has been working as a Senior Hairstylist for the past 8 years while also completing a diploma in design before undertaking her degree. She has previously had 15 years of dance training, 5 years of experience working in community theatre and opportunities to work with companies such as Queensland Ballet and Queensland Theatre. Drawing from my current studies in Indigenous Knowledge, Bella aims to work and create inclusive, respectful, culturally safe working environments among cast and crew to deliver performances for all audiences. She is passionate about supporting new stories and works that explore and challenge audiences' perspectives.
